Hakadome 箱留め /Half moon friction
The half-moon friction is commonly used to secure the second wrap of a gote. Within Shibari the Japanese name Hakadome has sometimes been applied to this friction, but it should be noted that Hakadome also refers to a specific way of tying boxes/gifts.

Hajime Kinoko 一鬼のこ
Born in 1977 Hajime Kinoko is part of a new generation of Japanese rope artest, having started rope in 2001 he took lessons from Akechin Denki, Kanna and Haruki Yukimura. Kinoko has gained international reputation as a rigger and an artist producing large rope installations, and brining shibari to a wider audience. His Shibari school '縄サロン' the Ichinawa Salon provides classes and private lessons.


Hank
A Hank refers to either a bundle of rope, or the act of bundling a rope. ie- Pass me a hank of rope/Please hank that rope.

Hard point
A hard point is any sturdy structure or fixture capable of withstanding the weight and forces applied during rope bondage. It acts as the anchor for the ropes, allowing for stability and control in tying or suspending a person.


Hashigata zuri 橋型吊り
Hashi means bridge, Gata means shape, harshigate zuri refers to suspensions in which the person tied forms a bridge shape.

Hashira Shibari 柱吊り縛り
Tying to a pillar, - often a bamboo pole but can be used to describe ties to any pillars.

Hayanawa 早縄
This refers to both the rope that is used and the technique of 'fast capture' with a rope as practiced within hojojutsu. This is often a thin rope with a spliced loop at the end.
