Glow Ropes - Care

Glow ropes come ready to tie, and require little maintenance, they should not be treated with oils or rope pastes.

Cleaning

There is always a risk that washing ropes will damage the rope lay, so where possible avoid getting them dirty, however as a synthetic rope this rope holds up far better to washing than natural fibres.

Suggested washing method

Machine wash at 30 degrees, with no spin, rinse and hang.  Allow to dry fully.

Loose Threads

Loose/Snapped Thread

If a thread gets snagged or broken, this is not a particular cause for concern. As these ropes are for floor use only, the strength of the ropes is not critical, and this can be viewed as an aesthetic problem rather than a structural one. Stretch out the broken thread slightly and snip it. The end will retract into the body of the rope and no longer be visible.

High Strand

High Strands
This occurs when one of the three twisted strands has been caught or pulled more than the rest of the rope, pulling it out of alignment.
