Fired Jute shibari rope
Fired Jute shibari rope
DESCRIPTION
For customers who prefer the old fashioned/traditional treatment method of being passed through a flame and stretched whilst wet. These are suitable for people who are used to this slightly fuzzier and denser textured rope.
These ropes are made to order, therefore these are not dispatched as fast as my regular ropes.
Hand-made single-ply, medium lay shibari ropes available in 8m lengths diameter approximately 6mm.
ABOUT
This single ply jute rope has been hand washed, stretched to dry, and then run through a flame to remove the majority of the 'fuzzies'. Treated with a Shea butter. All my ropes are suitable for vegans; I do not supply beeswax, nor use it in my rope treatment. For those new to Jute, read my handy guide here on jute rope.
Ready to use immediately, although some people choose to additional rope paste or oil treatment. All ropes finished with traditional overhand knots, should you wish to customise your ropes, i have included a care guide here for information on how to do so.
Orders of three ropes or more receive a pair of free EMT shears (limited to one pair per order).
ROPE SUITABLE FOR:
This rope is suitable for shibari and kinbaku, and can also be used for bedroom bondage.
Jute and hemp rope has traditionally been used for suspension. It is advisable to use synthetic hemp for uplines as it is not possible to provide an accurate weight test for natural fibre ropes, and any test on a rope's strength only reveals its strength on the day of testing.
