Sa-Se is for
Sakasad zuri 逆さ吊り
'inverted suspension' used to refer to any suspension where the person is vertical with their head down.
Sakuranbo shibari 桜ん坊縛り
'tying the cherry' Sakuranbo, cherry is used as euphamism for the vagina, as such this is a refrence to crotch rope ties, however the term matanawa is more commonly used for these ties.
Sarugutsuwa 猿轡
'monkey gag' this refers to a gag that restricts speech originally, but the word is now used to refer to any gag.
Seiza 正座
'proper sitting' This refers to a kneeling seated position: Sits on their knees with the tops of their feet flat against the floor and the big toes overlapping.The buttocks rest on the heels.The back is kept straight, and hands are often placed on the thighs with fingers together. This is considered a normal formal and polite sitting position within Japanise culture, and can be misinterpreted by Western viewers in Shibari videos as a position indicating submission.
Semenawa 責め縄
'tormenting rope' sometimes translated as torture rope. This refers to ties that are deliberately painful, often with carefully - and safely applied pressure. Sometimes they are tied using deliberately uncomfetable rope like palm rope.
Sensei 先生
'teacher'. The status of teacher is one held in high regard in Japan, so much so that it rather taboo to describe yourself as a Sensei as it can appear arrogant. Within Shibari people will often refer to their teacher as Sensei _____name_____ as a sign of respect and an acknowledgment of who they have learnt from.
