Double coin chest harness

Name:  Double coin chest harness.

This simple chest harness can be classed as a fusion tie as opposed to a traditional shibari tie, but produces a pretty chest harness that can even be self tied. It makes use of the double coin knot.

Rope: This harness can be tied using one 8 meter rope, the pictures show it being tied using a Jute purple rope.

Step 1: Tie a double coin knot in your rope, so that it can sit at the front of the chest and the bight can reach around to the centre of your back.

Step 2: Place the double coin knot on your back and take the rope ends around to the front of your body. Take the long end of the rope (the working end) through the bight (the place where the rope folds).

Step 3: Move the rope around your body so that the double coin knot is at the front and the join is at the back.

Step 4:  Bring the working end around to the front of your body over the chest and all the way around to the back again

Step 5:
Take the rope behind your back, and pull it under the part that is going over your chest.

Step 6: Take the rope over your shoulder to the front of your body
Step: 7 take the rope through the loop at the top of the double coin knot.

Step 8: Take the rope back over the other shoulder to the back.

Step 9: Tie of by bringing the rope over the wraps and pulling it through under them

Pull the rope all the way through to the left

Step 10: Tie off with a half-hitch

The tie is now secure and complete, but if you have some left over rope you might want to tidy it up using some sword hilt wrapping.

Step 11: Sword hilt wrap

A sword hilt wrap just involves bring the rope all the way around the ropes you want to wrap, again and again forming a pretty spiral. It is a good way of using up left over rope.

Your finished tie!
